Have you considered any alternatives to direct-apply film, such as film on roller shades or rigid sheet filters? The film that is applied directly to the glass works very well, but all UV filters decrease in effectiveness over time, usually requiring replacement in 10-15 years. The direct-apply film is difficult to remove, often requiring lots of labor and often doing damage to historic glass and/or windows. Often, the expense and complications of replacement keep institutions from keeping the UV film up-to-date. I urge you to consider ease of replacement when selecting UV-filtering solutions.

Have any of you used a UV film application/sheets that is applied to
windows to keep out UV glare/rays?  We need a lighter almost clear film
that will not block the view into the building.  Any suggestions on this
matter is appreciated.  Thanks in advance!
