On that note, if you're not up for teaching and don't want to go abroad: http://americorps.org/ From the web site: "AmeriCorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet our country's critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment. "AmeriCorps members serve with more than 3,000 nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based and community organizations. Since 1994, more than 400,000 men and women have provided needed assistance to millions of Americans across the nation through their AmeriCorps service." The NCCC program is only for those 18-24, but VISTA and State and National Corps don't have an upper age limit. You receive a modest living allowance and, at the end of your service, receive an educational award...to help you pay off those student loans that got you here! My husband spent approximately year serving in Americorps, and it led to full-time employment, too, so there's another glimmer of hope. :D Cheers / Angélique On 8/25/05, Indigo Nights <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Here are a couple of fixes you may wish to consider > for now.
