Ok, this is another example of attacking the person and not the idea. Could we please steer away from personal attacks on this list? Before one generation defends itself and/or an older generation attacks, please stop and take a moment and think about the history of America at least starting at the 20th Century. Every generation seems to think the next generation is going to hell in a handbasket. Conversely, every younger generation in America has thought the one above it was dumber than a door-knob. Before the Gen X-ers take things said here and get their panties in a wad, stop and think how much turd slinging gets hurled at the Boomer Generation. I've seen this go both ways. And, as a Boomer, we can stop and think about when we were young and how you "couldn't trust anyone over 30." We're well past that age wise. Are we untrustworthy? None of the generations is without blame. The parents of the Flappers thought they were just dastardly, and they grew up to be the grandparents of some of the Boomers and lots of Gen X-ers. Could we PUH-LEASE cut all the emotional bullshit (there, did that shock you enough to straighten up and fly right, list?) and get back to the BUSINESS at hand? There are weeks this list is just plain fun. Someone will come up with some remember when, and everybody plays along. But this week has been just plain shitty. Can we cut the crap and get back to koombyah. That interchange that started with Tim and wound up getting Jim labeled a racist was just ignorant. It's another case of someone feeling it was all personal (That I Factor) instead of business. Knock it off, and let's get back to the subject of museums, or excuse yourself from the table and go stand in the corner until you can behave. I've got people writing to me privately indicating they're going to leave the list if it doesn't stop, and they have great value to add. It could be a significant loss if it doesn't turn around. --- Robyne Miles <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > As it can be seen that there are many talented, > dedicated Gen X-ers in our > profession.
