I recall a video shown during one of my graduate classes at Texas Tech that illustrated proper handling techniques of museum artifacts. I remember that it was about 10 or 15 years old when I saw it in 2000-2001, and that it was hosted by Candace Matelic. I just tried quickly finding it online but had no luck. Maybe another lister knows which video I'm thinking of. The video was rather dry, but had some very good information. Amanda Thompson Dyer Curator Bell County Museum 201 N. Main St. P.O. I am trying to locate some sort of museum object handling video to show new interns, volunteers and employees. Can anyone suggest a good video/DVD that explains basic artifact/object handling and moving procedures? If possible could you also tell me where I could purchase this item? Thank you very much.
