Not
sure if this will work, but in order to have "color" could you provide a select
number of free tickets to reenactors on a first come basis, or use
some other criteria? Perhaps a contest or raffle to get them
there - for a certain # of tickets? (the raffle would also raise a little
$ that could go toward the price of the giveaway tkts.)
Also,
maybe do a cash bar? Is that unacceptable? That would cut your ticket
cost. Also, I'm not sure about the band members getting free tkts for
their guests -- is that what you had in mind? Or did you just mean a free
ticket for the band member?
The
more I'm thinking this I DEFINITELY think a cash bar -- you could have
non-alcoholic punch free. It's a good idea on many levels. Hope I
didn't misunderstand you post too much!
