Who's being rude and the bully? I suggested if we continually receive out of context "information" (the context being how this information effects museum work and not one's personal views) perhaps we should sign off rather than have it continue. I would say it is rude to make personal attacks on a "professional" list. It appears that the focus of the conversation has shifted toward the effects on cultural institutions. And perhaps the guidelines I place on myself for using this listserv are too strict. Tolerance works both ways. That a future employer would read my comment, take it as an insult, and I guess not hire me seems pretty harsh. Was your comment to advice me or to bully me? Ill try to keep a broader opinion on how this listserv should be used.
