Wesley, If you can cover volunteers with WC in your state (I know you can in other states), you'll want to be aware of how your carrier will calculate the premium. Since WC premium is based on salary, don't let them assign some higher salary number--if they say they need to assign some hypothetical salary amount, insist on minimum wage. Also, the trade off to consider about whether to buy the WC for volunteers is that if injured, a volunteer covered by WC is limited in recovery to WC and what it provides (usually medical and lost "wages"). If they are not covered by WC and injured, they could sue, and that opens up all sorts of cans of worms as to what they can request. NOTE: This is just a generalization, I don't know how your state differs in these respects, which is why you should ask these questions to your broker. Results may vary. Good luck! ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
