Chuck Davis and the African American Dance Ensemble located in Durham, NC.  There is a documentary of Chuck filming dances  in West Africa that his company then performs internationally.  The archives of Katherine Dunham, enthnographer and choreographer (the American Dance Festival may be a place to start or Jacob's Pillow.  .  The Museum of African Art, division of the Smithsonian.  The Schoenberg Center and the Bettman Archive.
