I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is an online PhD program out there in either art history or museum studies.  I have my MA in art history and want to do curatorial work in an art museum in the future.  For the next two years, however, I will be staying home until my preschoolers enter kindergarten.  I don't want these next two years to go to waste professionally, however, and I would love to start working on my doctorate but obviously can't be on campus, especially since the closest university offering such a program is an hour drive away.  If I could get started on some coursework toward the degree while I'm still at home, that would be great.  I've heard of several online MA programs, but nothing at the doctoral level.  Any suggestions you all might have would be greatly appreciated.
