This one-day class will focus on the following: *The nature of hurricanes: are they survivable? *General issues in developing a disaster plan *Making your institution more storm-proof *Activities before, during, and after the storm *Available assistance Intended audience: This class is essential for librarians, archivists, and curators responsible for disaster planning or recovery; plant and support staff responsible for assisting in disaster preparation efforts; administrators, directors, and others responsible for approval or implementation of disaster plans.
