And Lucy, in a discussion with a glass guy just the other day, he
discouraged me about UV film.  He said that the film absorbs the energy and
holds it, thus changing the temperature of the glass, which could
potentially lead to breakage.  Now, he was just an average glass guy, and he
did encourage me to speak with experts on the stuff.  I'm thinking about UV
blocking shades or perhaps blinds that we would raise and lower.

 

I know in many historical house museums, they follow the sun around and
close and open blinds as it moves.
