The Geneva (NY) Historical Society is seeking an executive director. The 1,000 member society operates four historic buildings and a preservation fund. The executive director will provide a vision and a strategic direction for the organization. He/she will be responsible for organizational development, fiscal management, staff supervision, office administration, program and exhibit development, public relations, and collections care. The society has a full-time staff of six (including curator of collections and exhibits, archivist, and director of education and public information) and an operating budget of $400,000. A bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree in history, museum studies, or equivalent is preferred. Experience in museum or museum-related field is desirable.
