The Trustees protects over 35,000 acres of land plus a range of historic structures, including Naumkeag, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The exact nature of the project(s) will be decided after discussions with staff at the start of the internship. Qualifications: Be enrolled in an accredited graduate level degree program for museum studies or similar. Experience developing interpretive programs and an understanding of American history are all desirable. The successful candidate needs to be willing to collaborate with staff and volunteers and have a sense of humor. The Jeannine Rioux Intern will report to the Superintendent of the Stockbridge Management Unit, and work with the Western Regional Historic Resources Manager and Naumkeag's Historic Site Administrator. The position will be for 10 weeks during the summer of 2005; 35-40 hours a week at $8.50/hour. Housing at an apartment at Naumkeag is provided.
