I am interested in hearing from colleagues in the museum field on the topic of exchange with collectors/private individuals as a method of disposal for deaccessioned objects. What does your collections policy allow and disallow? If you use this method of disposal, under what circumstances or restrictions do you exercise this option? Thank you!
