Rather than contemplating sales of the list, may I suggest it is preferable to exchange lists with like-minded organizations? One can always offer the listees the options of responding to the inquiry: "From time to time we make our list available to organizations with similar missions and goals. If you choose not to receive these mailings, please check this box/so indicate/click here now..."
