Hello, I am conducting some research into the relationship between museums and Indigenous communities, and particularly the relationship between museums and Inuit or Eskimo communities accross the Circumpolar North as part of my master's of Musuem Studies Degree. I am exploring the relationships mainstream museums establish with Aboriginal communities in both southern and Arctic contexts, and if there are any Inuit or Eskimo-run museums in the circumpolar North, what their relationship is with local communities. If anyone has any information on this topic, and in particular the names of museums I could look into or knowledgeable people I could contact, I would certainly appreciate it. Sincerely, Clare-Estelle Daitch Candidate for Master's of Museum Studies Degree University of Toronto, Canada ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
