Hi Sharon – If folks only experience
with the Museum is via the staff, then I would like to suggest that perhaps the
staff are not completely doing their job….isn’t it all of our jobs
to ‘sell’ our museums to potential visitors? My advice would
be to hold fast on no objects in offices and coach the staff on how to get
folks into the gallery. Just my 2 pence…

Subject: use of collections in
offices
Hi,
I know this has been discussed before, but I beg some help
with an answer. I have been asked about the use of
collections objects in staff offices, in part to enhance the visibility of our
collection to those whose only experience with the Museum may be with the staff
in their offices. Feedback, please?
Thanks
