Dear Sarah:

Good luck with your interview next week. It's been a long time since I
have gone through a similar process, but I still remember many of the
interviews I had--good and bad.

The one "tip" I would give you, as I give to many of my students, is to
keep in mind that you are interviewing them just as much as they are
interviewing you. You need to make sure the institution is a place where
you would like to work and one that would help in your professional
advancement. You're looking for a job and want to impress them.
Remember, they are looking for an employee and need to impress you, too.
I always felt that made the interview process a little easier for me.
It's not all one-sided.

Again, good luck. I hope all goes well for you.

Sincerely,

Michael Cahall, Ph.D.
