Those tips for Internet Explorer are excellent, but let me recommend a whole
new, easy, faster alternative: Mozilla Firefox. (No, I don't work for them,
and besides, it's freeware) I read about Firefox in PCWorld and the NY
Times, googled it and found nothing but praise all over the net, and now
I've got it at work and home. It's brilliant, it's easy to deal with, and
it takes no effort at all to import your bookmarks from your old browser. No
pop-ups, no more spyware nasties, it's MUCH safer than IE, it takes up less
memory than IE and furthermore works faster, somehow, even with the same
connection. It's free in the downloads/internet browsers section at www.
pcworld.com (and elsewhere, I imagine).
