Good Afternoon All,
I am doing research on expanding our knowledge of "Best Practices" of
management agreements (read: contracts) between not-for-profit
corporations (as defined in the IRS code as 501(c)3 non-profits) and
government agencies (city, county, state, or federal). I am particularly
interested in learning about museums, which were once administered by a
government agency,....and then....."went private".....
Any leads, examples, names of institutions, recommended contacts, and/or
personal experiences (and opinions) of museum professionals, who were
involved in the process, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and Best Wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year,
Wesley
P.S. The museum system that I work for, The Pink Palace Family of Museums
is a public/private contractual partnership between Memphis Museums Inc.
(a 501(c)3 corporation) and the Division of Park Services, City of
Memphis, Tennessee.
