Kaytie,
I got my
stools from Houtz & Barwick. www.houtzandbarwick.com 800-775-0337
They are
the kind you describe, and you can order them in 16 inch or 19 inch
height. I got the 19-inch seat
height because it is easier for people to get up and down. This was the only place I could find
them in the taller height.
They have
aluminum frames that support something like 300lbs each, so they are very
sturdy.
I believe
you have to order them in batches of 12.
They come out to about $12.00 each plain, if I remember correctly. We
had our logo screened on ours, which cost a little more. You can also order a cart to hold
the stools. I don’t remember how
much those were because we didn’t order one.

Subject: Re: Gallery stools
Colleagues:
Can anyone suggest a source for reasonably priced, camp-stool style seating for
museum galleries? I'm seeking flexible stools (as opposed to hard wood)
that can fold up and be stored on some sort of moveable rack/storage system.
I would appreciate any off-list responses/suggestions you might have.
Many thanks!
