DUTIES: The incumbent directs the Program in Latino History and Culture, developing and producing a variety of lectures, exhibitions, family and children’s programs, concerts and other activities reflecting Latino history and culture. Cultivates local and national Latino groups and communities to generate interest, develop external support, create partnerships, build audiences and develop a national presence. Identifies and engages participants; collaborates with curators and programming staff to research, present and make visible Latino topics in exhibitions and outreach. Researches and writes program materials. Coordinates administrative requirements, supervises program staff, manages and mentors interns and volunteers. Participates in and provides support for other museum initiatives on related topics in diversity programming. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
