Good evening, colleagues - Do consult with a conservator as well as published references about how to properly freeze for pest control. If you don't do it correctly, it won't kill the insects. The National Park Service has a ConserveOGram on the subject: http://www.cr.nps.gov/museum/publications/conserveogram/03-06.pdf Regards, Margaret (Meg) Geiss-Mooney Textile/Costume Conservator Professional Associate, AIC [log in to unmask] >>Put them in a freezer. Leave for 48 hours and then remove for 48 hours. Then put them back in for another 48 hours. This should kill any infestation. After the final 48 hours, use a natural bristle paint brush to sweep the dust into with a low suction vacuum cleaner.>> --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
