We have 9 currently in China and they are having such a blast that some want to extend their stays! The age range is 22 to over 60 (of the teachers we've placed). PSBI has developed a partnership with Zhenjiang Pearl S. Buck Research Center to develop cultural and educational exchanges between East and West. The Teacher Ambassador Program is designed to recruit teachers that will teach for one or two semesters in Zhenjiang, China and return to the US with first-hand knowledge of the rich and diverse Chinese culture. Who can serve as a Teacher Ambassador? You must be a native English speaker with a 4 yr college or university degree; must be in good health, mentally and physically without communicable diseases of public health significance; must have a clear criminal and child abuse record Teachers are assigned to teach in the PSB Middle School (our high school) and/or other member schools; teach oral English and listening comprehension; teach 5 days per week, 48 hours per month, not including lesson prep time. Assignments are one or two semesters...TAs are provided all meals and furnished living accommodations; private bathroom, TV, washing machine, a/c, telephone and computer w/internet access.
