I'm not familiar with Big Red, but it sounds like the equivalent of Irn Bru (http://www.bevnet.com/reviews/irn-bru/index.asp) , which contains the world's most effective dye -- it can't be removed, is permanent and utterly fade-resistant, even in strong sunlight (I could present to you my younger daughter's bedroom carpet as evidence...).

Apparently it also makes Scotland the only country in the world where Coca-Cola isn't the most popular soft drink.

(Pronunciation note: 'Irn' is pronounced 'iron' and you need to rrreally rrrreally rrrrroll that rrrr!)

Those of us who have provided school lunch facilities and camp-in snacks know that a ban on Big Red drinks is in effect perpetually.  That stuff stains worse than any red wine you are ever going to encounter!

Cheers,
