You might contact the Tennessee State Museum of History in Nashville. They own a mummy that was sent to Tennessee from Eygpt during the 1800s.

Subject: mummies

Hello,
I'm a museum studies student interested in conservation of mummies. I'm looking for information on preventive conservation, how the mummy is stored, at what temp, in what lighting, etc. I'm also interested in any museums that have actively restored or stablized mummies. Any unexpected things that museums have run into or specific problems (moving the mummy, etc) would be great. All information or sources are helpful! You can email me directly or reply to the list. Thanks for your time!

Jill
