Hey you work at a Children's museum :-) So don't they expect children? I had a baby at my last position. I worked out with people in advance just what my duties were, what other people could handle while I was gone and what could be put off. Of course, after about a week of leave, I went in once a week with the baby to sign papers and do things for most of the day... I was also given the option of cutting back my hours for the first few months if I wanted (with a reduction in pay of course) to have a little more time. There is only one other person on our staff who has had a baby while working at our Museum and it was before I was hired. She took only 6 weeks.
