Museum Disaster Planning and School Tours

The Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester is in the midst of designing a comprehensive disaster plan that will cover both the safety of visitors and the art. At a meeting today, representatives from UR discussed a need to have all school tours come with written lists of students on the tour. Under discussion is that such lists be sumbitted to the tour coordinator before the children could enter the building. At the close of the tour, the lists would be returned to the teacher/s.

Do other museums have similar requirements and if so, how do you implement them, how have the schools have replied, etc.?
