I would recommend the website of Historic Deerfield in Deerfield, MA. ---
www.historic-deerfield.org

The museum possesses a wonderful collection of 18th century items.

Subject: online images

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone out there knows of good online sources of images of domestic items from the 18th century. I'm looking for a visual overview of what people would have had in their homes, all social strata: textiles, cooking implements, jewellery, silverware, etc.

This is just for personal research, not for reproducing as an exhibit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ms Regan Forrest
