The Textile Museum in Washington, DC seeks a Public Information Assistant.
This is a challenging entry-level position with a lot of variety, perfect
for someone looking to get a foot in the door doing museum PR work. Duties
include: writing and distributing press materials; responding to media
inquiries; publication layout/design; maintaining Web site.  Requires:
college degree, excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work
independently and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, confidence
working with the press and the public.  1-2 yrs related experience
preferred.  Computer skills: MS Office, PageMaker, Photoshop.  Knowledge of
Dream Weaver or comparable a plus. Salary mid 20's with excellent benefit
