Response & Salvage This spring the American Museum of Natural History will
host the 19th annual meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural
History Collections May 11-16, 2004. The theme of the meeting centers on
emergency preparedness, response and salvage and papers on this topic are
invited. For the general session papers are also being solicited on the
theme of "bridge building", whether within an institution or collaboration
between individuals, departments, institutions or other relevant
organizations. Papers of general interest to the SPNHC audience that do not
fall under either theme will also be considered. In order to have a
presentation (oral or poster) considered for inclusion in the program, an
abstract must be submitted before Wednesday, February 18 , 2004. Please
follow the abstract submission instructions below. Oral presentations: The
anticipated time allotted for each oral presentation is 20 minutes including

committee may choose to run concurrent technical sessions or to adjudicate
submissions. Poster presentations: This is an ideal format for presenting
preliminary findings, innovations from a related field, or student projects.
