JOIN OUR PANEL UNVEILING A DIGITAL MUSEUM CAMERA THAT ALSO FILLS YOUR NEEDS

The Museum Computer Network (MCN) is staging a round table on 11/6 (at its '03 Conference in Las Vegas) that will specify the requirements of a superior digital camera, which could  satisfy museum imaging needs as well as those of professionals from other fields currently handicapped by lack of a first-rate digital imaging solution.  Until now museums have failed to share their expectations with the camera industry and no such product has arisen.  MCN's innovative panel takes another tack by gathering the key players under one roof: camera manufacturers, independent digital-imaging experts, and museum staffers who produce digital photos or use them in their institution's activities.  The MCN intends to spawn a series of "dialogs with industry" inspiring collaboration of museums and a company interested in offering the affordable camera museums want.  Kodak, our first industrial participant in this effort, has recently put digital photography on a fast path for all areas and is represented at the panel by the Director of Operations for its growing Digital Camera business.  Five other panelists, who understand what museums ask of tomorrow's camera, fill out the round table.  Everett Ellin, MCN's founder and a pioneer of Electronic Imaging since 1982, is moderator of the event.  Join the discussion and help launch a vital technology benefiting us all for years.  The "Dialogue" there is part of a digital imaging track, featured at the upcoming MCN Conference that includes a variety of workshops and related sessions.  Registration for this day (or the full program) can be made online at www.mcn.edu.
