Hi,
My name if Jennifer.  I am a student at Appalachian State University majoring in Appalachian Studies.  However, I just left a 17 year career in dentistry, having worked for the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry.  Students in these programs have access to hundreds of human teeth.  They generally acquire them from patients who have had the teeth extracted at the school.  If you are near a dental school you might be able to obtain permission to view some of the teeth.  You might also consult a local dentist or oral surgeon for that purpose.  It is unlikely however that you will be able to "acquire" any human teeth because of of laws regulating biohazard materials and waste, and human teeth are included in this catagory.
It wouldn't hurt though to consult a dental school if you have access to one.  They may know something I don't.
Good Luck.  I am very interested in knowing just what this project is.

Subject: Human Teeth

Greetings!

Does anyone know how or where one could acquire human teeth? Local artist working on installation for city project needs "a bag full of teeth." Hundreds actually.

Any leads are appreciated.
