Digest Format
Dear All,

I, too, finally gave up on the digest format because it grouped all messages together, whereas only some of the topics were pertinent to my work and interests.

There is a very easy way to have one's cake, and eat it, too: set your discussion group membership to send you messages individually, then set up folders in your e-mail program, and tell it to sort the messages automatically into the folders.

This enables you to sort all the mail from the various discussion groups to which you belong (and gets these messages out of your personal IN box), AND it allows you to highlight and delete individual messages rapidly, based on the subject line. Works very well for me, anyway, and if you don't know how to do this, just drop me a line at home, and I'll send you the easy instructions for how to do it in Outlook Express (if you have another program, the procedure probably will be similar, and you should be able to figure it out).

Best regards,

Star Meyer
