The MTA is planning to present a panel on board restructuring for AAM next year. Here's the essence of the session: Board Restructuring is a delicate process, but one that is essential to a museum transformation.  In this panel, museum leaders will describe how they re-shaped their boards to increase accountability, support the strategic plan, better reflect the community, and enhance museum performance.  We have two confirmed speakers: Jenny Benjamin, Director of the Museum of Vision in San Francisco; and Nick Mueller, Director of the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans.  D-Day transformed a local founding board into a national board.  The Museum of Vision has made the transition from a board that acts as staff to a board that fundraises and supports staff.  I would like a third speaker.  Any suggestions?  Please respond to me off-list at [log in to unmask]

Thanks!!!!

Amanda
