Our small science center is developing a traveling exhibit program. One of the goals of the project is to "offer an appropriate experience that is cognitively, linguistically and culturally accessible to children in grades K through 6 and their families."

I am wondering if other museums have done any research (or have anecdotal experiences) on "best practices" for language accessibility.

How do you decide which languages to translate into?

How much do you translate? Everything? Šor just a summary?

What other methods have you used to translate materials (for ex, interpreters, audio)?

Which methods seem to have the best results?
