JOB OPENING: PUBLIC INFORMATION ASSISTANT The Textile Museum seeks a full-time Public Information Assistant to provide administrative and project management support to the Museum's marketing and communications program. Qualifications: College degree and 1-2 yrs related experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. Outstanding organizational skills and confidence working with the press, vendors and the public. Graphic design knowledge and/or experience also required. Computer skills: MS Office, PageMaker, Photoshop. Knowledge of Dream Weaver or comparable a plus. Primary Responsibilities: Coordination and production of the Museum's 16-page quarterly newsletter; maintenance of the Museum's Web site; writing press releases, and creating and distributing press materials; responding to press inquiries; maintenance of publications and clippings archive, and press database; general project support and ongoing communication with media, general public, and staff.
