A friend of mine recently found an April 15th , 1912 Asbury Park newspaper between the floorboards of a shore cottage he is renovating. The front page has a headline of the Titanic accident with a picture and a passenger list. (the article did not mention the loss of life, but said the Titanic was "limping" to New York. Clearly a very early account). The condition of the newspaper is very fragile and there are already some pieces that have become separated. The paper seems to have some whitish, dusty mold on it, but the writing is legible. Can anyone recommend a way of preserving the newspaper or sources that I can contact who would be willing to assist? Thank you in advance for any advice.
