I just graduated with a BA in History and Museum Studies, and I have about 2 years experience so far in the museum field. I have found that a quality internship helps a great deal. You need a quality institution, and a quality experience. Mine was unique since I developed a training program on interpretation. However, through this I have made quality contacts, and possibly could have had a job. Unfortunately, I was zapped by a state budget crisis. The important part is that I performed well, and have a solid contact to build from. I suspect I'll end up working in another field for awhile, especially while working on my Master's. However, I will certainly be involved somehow in a museum somewhere, probably by doing training at the museum I developed the program for, which is what I'm doing right now. ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
