The American Victory Mariners Memorial and Museum Ship has an opening for a
museum educator to develop new programs aboard an operational World War II
Victory Ship docked in Tampa, Florida.  The educator will develop and
implement programs, train volunteers, and build relationships with regional
educational institutions.  The educator will have the unique opportunity to
develop programs for the ship as it sails on monthly ReLive History Cruises
on Tampa Bay and as it sails periodically to other Florida ports.  The ideal
candidate will have a bachelors degree in museum studies or related field,
experience in museum education, good oral and written communication skills,
experience with volunteers, and enthusiasm for exciting educational
projects.   This is a grant-funded temporary position, with potential to
become full time permanent.  Compensation will be commensurate with
experience.  American Victory is an educational non-profit and equal
