The subject of the Iraqi museum kind of gotten tangled up in the mix of the media's portrayal of the looting situation. Like I have said before, the subject of Iraqi, whether it is looting of the museum or something else opens up a whole new can of worms. The situation of the museum addresses many issues we are having to face now, post-war e.i. political aspects. Many nerves have been touched by this subject and it is a proven slippery slope for non-museum concerns. So, I would like to leave this subject alone, at least for awhile and deal with other museum issues.

Sincerely,

Christi Pemberton

Subject: Focus on musems, please (was RE: Iraqis, looting and the press)

While I know the topic of liberalism and media coverage is important to many
people, I hope that we can continue to focus on museum issues on this list.

Thanks,
