Job Title:  Collections Manager

Number of Openings: 1

Responsibilities and Duties:

This position is responsible for the accession of samples of biological importance for research and preservation.  The successful candidate will also assist in maintaining the Frozen Tissue Lab database, assuring that the database is available to academic and governmental research institutions.  The collections manager will assist in all aspects of obtaining collections, storage of collections, and the electronic recording of the collections.  Other responsibilities will include quality control, maintenance of website, maintain lab equipment, and involvement in creating and dispersing lab reports.


Qualifications:  Good knowledge of computer database application programs, web programming, Graduate Degree in an applied science, preferably biotechnology, at least one year of lab experience.

Salary:  $30,000.00/year

Hours:  Full-time
