Our local village association sponsors two gallery tours, in spring and
fall, where they run shuttles around to the commercial and cultural
organizations in the neighborhood and everybody is open late on the same
evening. They print a guide each year that everyone contributes to
financially, with maps and organizational information, and that guide is
distributed all year as part of a standard tourist information packet.

Indianapolis is also undergoing a massive cultural development initiative
including the establishment of cultural districts for the cooperative
marketing of everyone within those districts: for more information visit
http://www.culturalindy.org This is a joint effort between the city and the
Arts Council, which is a private non-profit organization here. The Arts
Council also sponsors an Arts Marketers group, which meets monthly to
discuss joint and cooperative marketing opportunities.
