A good professional contract graphics/marketing person is important. Have graphics person give a number of variants. Do not allow the board to change designs. Do not become involved in the process yourself, it will ruin your relationship with at least one board member if you do. If the consultant is any good she/he will hold a meeting with board to find out what the board would like to be expressed by brand and design. Again, a good consultant will accommodate most wishes in a way that makes graphic sense. In the end, any ill feelings will be directed towards the consultant. Good luck. I've never been a part of this process before, and I was curious about how much involvement a Board of Directors should have. Do we need a formal vote to adopt it? Should they be left out of the process until we have some specific choices, or brought in on the ground level. Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks, George Garner National Speedskating Museum and Hall of Fame George Garner, Director and Curator P.O.
