We have 8 weeks of summer fine art day camp and 2 weeks of spring break camp. We hire a separate staff to run the camps--3 age groups, one instructor and one assistant for each age group, so 6 total per week. Some camps are half-day and some are full-day--the instructors rotate (one week full-day, the next week half-day) and I think each instructor might get one week during the summer off. We also have a camp director, who plans the program, interfaces with our regular education staff of 2FT/2PT for materials and administration, and in addition to being one of the instructors gets extra money for the extra duties. I should point out that we max out at 50 campers per week total. (We do 5 weeks a year, with 2 staff -- the same 2 staff -- with primary responsibility for preparing and manning camp [*all day*]. We have additional staff and volunteers who regularly do 1-2 hour presentations, but that ups our manpower only by 3 or 4 at most.) ---Amy ------------------------------ Look, I have ONE job on this lousy ship.
