We had some vials of strychnine when I worked for a municipal
museum. Fortunately for us, the city had a hazardous waste person who dealt with
a much of our Haz-Mat. In this case, he may have referred us to our local
hospital.
You may want to contact the Fort Morgan Museum, Fort Morgan
Colorado. Their registrar wrote a good article on dealing with a chemistry
set as Haz-Mat. This article came out as part of either a MPMA newsletter or a
CWAM newsletter c. 2001.
