Hello. I don't know if my last message was received, so I will briefly explain what I am doing. I am conducting an independent research, which will focus on assisting museums and other cultural institutions to reach their goals without straying away from budget. This is very important as we are dealing with a very unforgiving economy. As museums struggle with hiring freezes and cutbacks resulting in suspending programs/projects and laying off employees; I am searching for input on what museums need to help them through these difficult times and finding a creative solution to achieve those things.

If anyone would like to answer these question, I would greatly appreciate it.

What areas/departments suffered the most when you had cutbacks? What are the projects and programs that, you feel, could have greatly improved or benefited your museum/cultural institution if it weren't for the cutbacks? Does your museum outsource to different professionals or businesses offering museum services (businesses dealing with exhibition design, fundraising, consultation)?

I may have some more questions in the near future. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Christi Pemberton
