Dear List Members-

This May the Historical Society of Washington D.C. will be opening the City
Museum. Our site is moving from a sleepy historic house that was lucky to
see 100 students a year to a much larger site that we anticipate might
attract up to 20,000. In September the FDR Library and Museum will be
opening a new building that will be increasing their visitorship from 12,
000 to 20,000. We are wondering how on earth we are going to schedule our
expected hordes! The results of our individual research has been mixed--we
have found schedulers use everything from paper and pencil to fancy
software. We would love to know what your sites use to schedule school and
other group tours. Please tell us not only what you use, but what you like
(and don't like) about your system.

I don't know if this is of general interest, but I'll be happy to forward
the results to anyone who is interested.

Thanks for your help!

Mychalene Giampaoli, Curator of Education
The Historical Society of Washington, D.C. and the City Museum
