We check our traps every month and only have the bug guys come in the summer to do some preventative spraying. ( I am by no means advocating this particular method) I note the types, locations, and numbers of bugs caught. With anything I am unsure of I work with an entomologist from Iowa State who will Identify them for free as part of an outreach program they have. (I think many ag related colleges will do this). As for the traps I buy ours through Metal Edge. They have a lot of nice stuff but can be rude. There number is 1-800-862-2228. The cost is $10.20 a doz. when you buy 3 or more, but each one breaks into 3 individual traps so you really get more than it sounds like.
