I'm working on a project that is set up this way: The Las Vegas Valley
Water District, which is a public utility, has provided funding and a site
for the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, a 501c3. The Preserve is building a
visitor center, a botanical garden and a system of interpretive trails on
the site. They are set to open in 2005.

To complicate matters, the Nevada State Museum, an agency of the State of
Nevada, has received $35 million to build a new building on the Water
District site adjacent to the Springs Preserve. It will probably not be
open by 2005.

The two institutions will share parking, public areas, some infrastructure
and most likely the ticketing/entrance area.

Can anybody think of examples of other institutions that have
been "roommates" like this? I'm wondering about things like ticketing
system sharing, public area maintenance policies and other business-type
questions--and I need a brain to pick...

Thanks,
